Working with Somatic Shame

“GAME CHANGING. This is real stuff!! ”
“Deeply transformative”
“As a therapist, this helps reframe and pinpoint why clients get stuck even when they mentally understand - it’s in the body!”
“This was a breakthrough experience. I’m carrying with me an embodied vision of a future without shame”
Is this for me?
✔ For Therapists: When shame arises in a session, it can feel like you’re being pulled into the spiral alongside your client. Your own shame may surface, making it tempting to disengage or redirect. In this course, you’ll learn how to stay grounded in your own capacity while safely guiding your client through shame in a gradual, trauma-informed, bottom-up approach.
✔ For Coaches: You want to encourage growth without activating a feeling of “I’m not enough” in your clients. With this new awareness you will go beyond mindset shifts and deepen your understanding of the somatic experience. You’ll explore how the nervous system responds to change, allowing for deeper, holistic, more lasting transformations in your clients.
✔ For Creatives: If perfectionism, self-censorship, or fear of judgment keep you from expressing yourself fully, this course will help you release that weight. Learn to shift from over-managing your creativity to allowing inspiration to flow naturally and freely.

From Madison:
I started researching shame 10 years ago, at the same time that I began studying Somatic Trauma-Resolution because they felt so intertwined.
If we experienced dysfunction or misattunement growing up, shame develops as a pervasive unconscious protector that will impact how we view every interaction and respond to every choice we make, unless directly addressed.
In this class, I share the single power-tool I developed to pinpoint where shame is hiding. Although there is always more to learn, I developed this compact experience for you to walk away after just 2 hours with clarity about your own shame, as well as how to support others in this transformation.
