SOMATIC AWAKENING

A four part series to realize the Self beyond story.

Join Us

class 1 ANIMAL BODY

By separating from thought and following the impulse of sensation, we come to understand the language of the animal body.

class 2 EGO DEATH

We use a Zen Buddhist Practice to take off the masks of our self identity and find our eternal Self beyond space and time. In the death of the ego, we find the aliveness that remains un-impacted by external circumstance

class 3 SOMATIC REBIRTH

We return to somatic trauma-resolution to learn how to “complete” mechanisms of pain, collapse, failure, etc for the animal body, so the eternal self can be reborn into our embodiment more quickly.

class 4 HEART DIVE

We enter the hearth of the heart as our home and restore our connection to the “pilot-light” of our aliveness, and the north star of our love.

What people have said:

I can feel the difference. It's not just to say how do I feel in my body its just… so much of thought and feelings just get in your way. The way you phrased it, and the way this has been conducted has really resonated with me and I've really enjoyed it. It's almost as if I didn't know how much thought & ego was getting in the way.

- APARNA

In the beginning, there's love, and in the end, there's love, and in the middle, we cultivate virtues. In this class we went beyond space and time to remember Love.

About One Love Prison Meditation

One Love Prison Meditation Project brings mindfulness and coaching into prisons as an act of love and resistance. Their work reminds incarcerated people of their shared humanity in a system built on dehumanization. Through weekly & biweekly in-person classes, participants learn to regulate their bodies, meet their emotions with compassion, and access a sense of freedom that cannot be taken away. Each class becomes a quiet revolution; restoring dignity, connection, and belonging where the state has stripped it away.

About Tim Bryant, Founder and Executive Director of OLPM:

Tim has served incarcerated folks of Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and Atheist beliefs for over 20 years with hundreds of programs with mindfulness and 1-1 coaching.
